BIM Consultant – 10 years experience in implementing BIM in big scale projects

Managing Data Transformation: Data transformation/manipulation where it’s required to exchange data between different sources, organizations internally and externally. Monitoring end user related issues and required enhancements as per the business requirements, building complex tools for (daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly) task automation via integrating and bringing different tools together such as python, FME, DB links, Replication, etc.

Currently working at AIDIGITS as a BIM Specialist / BIM Coordinator and as Teacher assistant for the Online Master Program that AIDIGITS is offering with Zigurat Institute of Technologies, coordinating academic activities relevant to on campus and online education in participation with strategic education partners .

Dr. Marwan Alzaylaie is a geotechnical engineer with over 20 years of experience in both industry and academia. Since 2006, he has served as the Senior Manager of Geotechnical Engineering at the Dubai Development Authority (DDA), where he oversees complex geotechnical designs and construction. His responsibilities include overseeing foundation design, soil stability, retaining systems, soil improvement, groundwater control systems, and geotechnical construction site supervision. From 2002 to 2006, Dr. Alzaylaie worked as a Civil Engineer for Sharjah Municipality, where he was involved in monitoring, controlling, and inspecting construction projects at various stages. In addition to his professional role, Dr. Alzaylaie has been an Adjunct Faculty member at Heriot-Watt University Dubai since 2015, where he teaches geotechnical engineering and supervises undergraduate and postgraduate research. In 2021, he furthered his academic involvement by joining Abu Dhabi University’s College of Engineering as an Adjunct Faculty member in the Civil Engineering Department. Dr. Alzaylaie earned his PhD in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering from Technische Universität Darmstadt (TU Darmstadt) in Germany, with research focused on the “Stiffness and Strength of Dubai Sedimentary Rock.” He also holds a B.Sc. (2002) and an M.Sc. (2008) in Civil Engineering from the University of Sharjah (UoS). He has published numerous research papers and serves on the editorial boards of several journals. Dr. Alzaylaie has actively contributed to organizing various international conferences. He is a founding member and the current Secretary & Treasurer of the Deep Foundation Institute (DFI) Middle East and a founding member of the Geotechnical & Material Engineering Committee within the Society of Engineers-UAE. Additionally, he previously served on the ISSMGE Technical Committee TC 217 on Land Reclamation.

Prof Dr Ghanim Kashwani, has been graduated with a PhD in Civil Engineering by the Heriot-Watt University, Scotland – UK. He is a Fellow Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng-FICE) by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)-UK.. Ghanim is also a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv-MSSE) and a Chartered Manager (CMgr-MCMI); Ghanim was awarded with Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Civil Engineering by the American University of Sharjah (AUS) and an MBA by the University of Wales Trinity Saint David-UK. Ghanim has industrial experience with major companies as he has worked as a Team Leader at Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) for several years; Ghanim is also a Chartered Scientist (CSci) member-UK. He has worked also as an academic in international universities such as New York University (NYU) and Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). He has published many papers in international journals on construction materials, safety engineering, and fire engineering. In addition, Dr Kashwani has worked in academic administration, as a Senior Manager of applied research, at local universities such as the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) in the Emirates. Ghanim has been inducted to the Wall of Fame of the American University of Sharjah (AUS) Alumni, and has been awarded Honorary Professorship in Civil Engineering from the Heriot Watt University, Scotland-UK. Dr Kashwani has been appointed as the first president of the Council of Young Arab Researchers by Arab Youth Centre (AYC). Due to his achievements, Dr Kashwani has been awarded the Most Engaged CEN Alumni Award from the College of Engineering (CEN) at the American University of Sharjah (AUS). In the social contribution aspect, Dr Kashwani served as an elected board member in the Society of Engineers (SOE) in the UAE and Education Lead in British Chamber of Commerce Abu Dhabi ( BCC AD).
