Integrating BIM with the project schedule will enable the client and the project team to examine the time needed to accomplish activities visually supported by analytical figures of productivity, issues, difficulties and approvals. Thus enable the construction team and the decision makers to take informed decisions about the progress of the construction activities and if necessary change the plan to accommodate unexpected or expected sources of delays. Simulations and scenarios will enable arriving to the most practical solution that will either avoid delays or at least minimize the negative impact.
AIDIGITS is capable of taking the 4D process further to accommodate lean construction methods and advanced work packaging techniques. This can be investigated further during the execution phase and as per the readiness of the construction team to accommodate such methods in their daily activities.
